Dream BIG!!!

Pinned Image

I remember someone told me, “You’re never too old to dream.” Those exact words seem to never escape my inner thoughts as I continued grow as a person.  I’ve always had a vision of being the next entertainment icon and there was nothing that could stop me from achieving that goal.
Yesterday, Ms. Reid arranged a meeting to speak to her agent company, IMG Agency. This corporation works with different sports, entertainment, and media moguls. Having a profound, on-air career in mass media requires a person to have agent to assist with finding different jobs. Sharon Chang, Vice President of IMG Broadcasting, as well as Ms. Reid’s personal agent, gave the Reid Group an inside look of how an agency operates. Mrs. Chang explained her strenuous journey in making her big break into the mass media industry, at a very young age.  She started her career as a receptionist for CBS Sports. This wasn’t the ideal job that Mrs. Chang had envisioned. Her passion was broadcast television and working behind scenes. Even though, she didn’t have an interest in answering phones, and using the fax machine, she understood that this job created an opportunity to get her foot in the door. With persistence, and hard work, Mrs. Chang was able to move up in the company as production coordinator, assistant president in sports, manager of production services and director of talent and production planning. Working with talent for 6 years, Mrs. Chang soon became fascinated with working different skilled artist and was offered a position at IMG Agency as the director of broadcasting. She then quickly advanced in the company currently serving as V.P. of IMG Broadcasting.
Mrs. Chang’s compelling story inspired me to dream beyond my imagination.  She never gave up when things didn’t go as planned but instead refocused on the next steps to achieve her goals.
Like the famous words of Eleanor Roosevelt say, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."  And I will continue to work to work towards my dreams of becoming successful.
